Privacy Policy

Your Privacy Matters

Nomory is designed with privacy at its core. All your data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, access, or store any of your personal information on external servers.

Data Storage

All bites, photos, recipes, and personal notes are stored locally on your device using Apple's CoreData framework. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

iCloud & Device Backups

If you have enabled iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder backups on your device, your Nomory data may be included in these system-level backups. These backups are encrypted and managed entirely by Apple. We have no access to your iCloud data. For more information, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Photos & Images

Photos you add to your bites are stored locally in the app's document directory on your device. They are included in exports only if you choose to create a backup file. We never upload or transmit your photos.

The app requests access to your camera and photo library solely to let you add photos to your dishes. These permissions are never used for any other purpose.

Location & Restaurant Search

When you use the restaurant search feature, queries are processed by Apple MapKit to provide relevant results. This communication happens directly between your device and Apple's servers. Nomory does not collect, store, or have access to your location data. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information about MapKit data handling.

Data Export & Sharing

You can export your data as a JSON file containing all your bites and images. When you export and share this file, you are responsible for its security and distribution. Once shared, the data is no longer under our control.

No Analytics or Tracking

Nomory does not use any analytics, tracking, or crash reporting services. We do not collect usage statistics, behavior data, or any other information about how you use the app.

Your GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following rights under GDPR:

• Right to Access: All your data is accessible within the app at any time.
• Right to Deletion: Delete bites individually or uninstall the app to remove all data.
• Right to Data Portability: Export your data anytime using the backup feature.
• Right to Rectification: Edit your data directly in the app.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control and can exercise these rights at any time without contacting us.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual bites by swiping left in any list view. To delete all app data completely, simply uninstall Nomory from your device. This will permanently remove all local data. If you want to keep a backup before deletion, use the export feature first.

Children's Privacy

Nomory does not knowingly collect data from children. Since all data is stored locally and we do not collect any information, the app can be used by individuals of all ages. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of the app.

Third-Party Services

Nomory uses Apple MapKit for restaurant searches. No other third-party services are integrated. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information about their data practices.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected in the app with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
